Harlem Antiwar Coalition

The most recent event organized by the Harlem Antiwar Coaition was held at the People's Forum in New York City in September in solidarity the African People's Socialist Party.

In the photo are Omali Yeshitela, Chair of the African People's Socialist Party, and Nellie Bailey, Director of the Harlem Antiwar Coalition.

The Harlem Antiwar Coalition was organized in 2001 after the US launched a needless war against Afghanistan and later Irak. The excuse for the war was the destruction of the World Trade towers and later to locate so-called weapons of mass destruction. After killing hundreds of thousands of Afghanistani and Iraki civilians and military, President Bush admited that it was a mistake and that there were no such weapons of mass destruction. But the war continued and eventually even Syria was attacked by the US. In the above photo, we see Berna Ellorin of the Philippine Forum, Nelie Bailey, Director of the harlem Antiwar Coalition, Sara Flounders of Workers World Party and Joe Lombardo of United National Antiwar War Coalition sustaining the banner.
